Band 5 Assistant Psychologist Neurodevelopmental Service for CWPT
Are you looking to be part of a new, friendly, expanding, and dynamic multi-disciplinary team working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Conditions, ADHD, Sensory processing difficulties, and Dyspraxia?
The service is an extension of the established and successful Children and Young People's Neurodevelopmental Service, recently rated by the CQC as 'Good' overall and 'Outstanding' for being caring. It employs a multidisciplinary assessment model, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration and thorough assessments with a focus on post-diagnostic support and intervention.
Due to recent funding, we are seeking an Assistant Psychologist with experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. The role involves supporting external providers in assessment and diagnostic processes, including clinical triage, providing support and advice to families awaiting assessment, and possibly developing online resources to support service users.
Main duties include contributing to clinical support within the team, working with external providers, and receiving supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.

Job description
Responsibilities include travel to training venues and meetings across the county; access to a car is essential unless you have a disability under the Equality Act 2010.
Applicants must hold a Psychology Degree with GBR status from the British Psychological Society, Grade 2:1 or above.
Note: All new staff must be registered with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Update Service.
Person specifications include qualifications, knowledge, and experience such as a Psychology Degree, caring experience, effective communication skills, ability to work autonomously, understanding of confidentiality, and relevant legislative knowledge. Car ownership/driving is also essential.
