Job description

Role: Assistant Property Manager

Location:

Eastbourne and surrounding areas

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (with flexibility)

Pay:

£28,000 – £35,000 per annum

The Requirements:
  • Previous experience in property management or a similar role
  • Excellent telephone manner and clear communication skills
  • Competency in property management systems for reporting, data input, and record keeping
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a dynamic environment
  • Understanding of landlord/tenant legislation and housing regulations
  • Ability to handle tenant concerns and issues proactively and professionally
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
The Role:
  • Conduct routine inspections to monitor compliance with property standards
  • Manage tenant move-ins and move-outs, including evictions when necessary
  • Oversee property maintenance, liaising with contractors for prompt resolution
  • Complete weekly inspection reports and maintain detailed property documentation
  • Serve as the first point of contact for tenants, handling queries and complaints professionally
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and support vulnerable tenants
  • Maintain accurate records for all accommodation units, focusing on temporary housing
