Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a proactive FiPL Project Officer to help deliver a diverse portfolio of grant-funded land management projects. You will support inquiries through to assessment, assist in financial monitoring and maintain rigorous records.
You will build strong relationships with farmers, landowners and partners, contribute to case studies, and help promote best practice across the FiPL network.
Working closely with the principal FiPL Project Officer and Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape team, you will help encourage and facilitate a diverse portfolio of grant-funded land management projects from aiding the first steps of initial enquiries, through to assisting the Local Assessment Panel it its review of applications. You will support financial management and monitoring processes, maintain accurate project records, prepare reports and updates, help administer meetings and provide secretariat support to the programme. The role will also involve helping to develop and promote case studies, celebrating project achievement and contributing to annual programme reviews and reporting requirements. An important part of the role will be developing positive working relationships with farmers, landowners and land managers and key organisations involved in the programme. We are looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with an interest in environmental, conservation or rural development work. It is essential that you have a degree level qualification in environmental management, land management, rural development or similar; or can offer equivalent relevant work experience. You will be able to demonstrate experience of supporting projects or programmes, managing information accurately and working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
