Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a proactive FiPL Project Officer to help deliver a diverse portfolio of grant-funded land management projects. You will support inquiries through to assessment, assist in financial monitoring and maintain rigorous records.

You will build strong relationships with farmers, landowners and partners, contribute to case studies, and help promote best practice across the FiPL network.

Qualifications

  • Essential: degree-level qualification in environmental management, land management, rural development or similar; or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience supporting projects or programmes, managing information accurately and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable handling financial information, producing reports and using Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word).
  • Experience of local government, grant administration or conservation programmes would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in encouraging and facilitating a portfolio of grant-funded land management projects from enquiry to Local Assessment Panel review.
  • Support financial management and monitoring processes and maintain accurate project records.
  • Prepare reports and updates, administer meetings and provide secretariat support to the programme.
  • Develop and promote case studies and contribute to annual programme reviews and reporting requirements.
  • Develop positive working relationships with farmers, landowners, land managers and key organisations.
  • Support wider promotional activity and share good practice across the FiPL network.
