Job summary

Network Plus is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support water mains projects across the UK. You will assist the Project Manager with planning, site preparation, traffic management and safety compliance, ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

You will coordinate pre-site activities, manage on-site teams and liaise with local authorities, utilities and contractors. A willingness to travel between locations and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in water utility engineering projects.
• Knowledge of traffic management and excavation/site works.
• Awareness of health & safety standards.
• Excellent stakeholder and contractor management.
• Willingness to work on site and travel between locations.
• Desirable: NRSWA Supervisors, water hygiene and SHEA water qualifications; full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager with planning, programme, budget inputs.
• Coordinate pre-site activities and on-site delivery: traffic, excavation, asset installation, reinstatement.
• Maintain project records, monitor progress, prepare progress reports.
• Liaise with stakeholders (local authorities, utilities, contractors, the public) and help organise meetings and permit coordination.
