Job summary

SSEN Transmission in the Dundee/Tayside area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the TKUP ASTI schemes within the Pathway to 2030 programme. You will help deliver major transmission projects, coordinating with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to keep work on time and within budget.

The role requires onsite presence in Dundee 2–3 days per week with its Perth base, and a proactive, collaborative approach to health, safety and project controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in project delivery within construction/engineering/utilities sectors.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements including CDM.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to develop in project management.

Responsibilities

• Support the successful delivery of major transmission infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, timeliness and budget adherence.
• Coordinate activities with Project Managers, contractors and stakeholders; monitor milestones and deliverables.
• Manage work packages, supporting cost forecasting, reporting and project controls.
• Contribute to procurement and contract management activities, including tender evaluation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure HSE compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
