Job summary

SSEN Transmission is recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to support the Capital Delivery team in delivering major transmission infrastructure within the TKUP ASTI scheme. The role is based in the Dundee/Tayside area with requirement to spend 2-3 days weekly onsite in Dundee and travel to site as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a project delivery environment, preferably in construction, engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timescales.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in project environments (CDM awareness).
• Proactive, collaborative approach with problem-solving and career development mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support successful delivery of major transmission projects, ensuring safety, timeliness and budget adherence.
• Coordinate project activities with Project Managers, contractors and stakeholders; monitor milestones.
• Manage assigned work packages; support cost forecasting, reporting and project controls to maximise value.
• Contribute to procurement, tender preparation, evaluation and contractor performance management.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
