Job summary

EKFB is recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager (Liability for Maintenance) based in Milton Keynes to lead and oversee maintenance scope delivery on a major HS2 civil works package.

You will monitor progress, manage key stakeholders, develop maintenance policies, and ensure integration with systems while coordinating with Handover, Highways, and L&A teams. BPSS clearance will be required on onboarding.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field; Chartered preferred.
• Extensive experience in project execution on major civil/highway projects.
• Experience in managing QMS on multi-disciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in AutoCAD, ProjectWise and related systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report progress of the Liability for Maintenance scope.
• Oversee drawings quality and production rate by Design Partner.
• Develop Liability for Maintenance strategy and own EKFB documents.
• Contribute to policies and guidance in the Business Management System.
• Coordinate between Handover & Completion, Highways, L&A, U&A functions.
• Manage third party access requirements (IDB, Network Rail, Highways, landowners).
• Collaborate with Route Wide Commercial Team on process changes.
• Draft and manage upstream and downstream commercial communications.
• Ensure land-related Undertakings and Assurances are complied with.
• Integrate Liability for Maintenance with systems (SmartConnect, GIS).
• Engage with Innovation team and HS2 for future developments.
• Lead design reviews and resolve comments for Liability for Maintenance.
