Job summary

Assystem GmbH in the United Kingdom seeks an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support Client PM delivery and performance on capital infrastructure projects, including affordability, scope completion and critical works.

You will coordinate contract administration, budgeting, risk and change assessments, and report on cost forecasts, while building strong supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with client processes across interdependent programmes.

Qualifications

• Review and challenge cost and schedule estimates, identifying key milestones and critical dates.
• Track project financial performance, preparing reports and cost forecasts for stakeholders.
• Analyse financial metrics and trends to support cost forecasting and estimate final project costs accurately.
• Reviews proposed changes and determines their high-level impact, requesting further information or clarification where necessary.
• Assesses all options relating to the proposed changes and estimates their impacts.

Job description

The role of the APM supports the Client PM looking inward about delivery and performance (affordability challenge, completion of scope, keeping an eye on emerging Critical Works) The APM will support the PM to ensure the successful delivery of capital infrastructure projects and achieve project outputs. Infrastructure delivery is a challenging environment in which to work, with interdependencies between the required programmes and projects and the need to maintain military outputs. The candidate will be required to deliver at pace and demonstrate effective application of programme and project management skills, tools and techniques. The aim is to provide flexible resource across the two projects to help with peaks of work and aspects of consistency
