Assistant Production Editor (Homepage Editor)

About the Role
  1. Edit and maintain the Guardian's UK, Europe, and international homepages on web and apps, following the guidance of the head of digital.
  2. Ensure adherence to Guardian style and high standards for homepage quality and featured stories.
  3. Send breaking news alerts as needed.
  4. Oversee live blogs when required.
  5. Use analytics tools to inform content decisions.
  6. Collaborate with digital teams, newsdesks, section editors, design, visuals, video, community, and audience teams to optimize digital output.
About You
  1. Experience in editing homepages and articles.
  2. Significant newsroom experience at a national or international news organization.
  3. Strong understanding of digital tools and content management systems.
  4. Knowledge of analytics, search, and digital audience measurement.
  5. Alignment with the Guardian's purpose and values.
