Job summary

New Road Academy in Telford is seeking an Assistant Principal: Teaching & Learning to lead and shape teaching standards across the academy. You will oversee instructional coaching, literacy initiatives and evidence-based practice, working with teachers, ECTs and trainee teachers to raise outcomes.

Qualifications

• Excellent classroom practitioner and credible leader of teaching and learning.
• Experience leading instructional coaching, professional development and evidence-informed classroom practice.
• Ability to work with teachers, middle leaders, ECTs and trainee teachers.
• Commitment to safeguarding and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional coaching, professional development and evidence-informed classroom practice across the academy.
• Drive excellence in teaching and learning through literacy initiatives and staff development.
• Support continual improvement of classroom practice and staff expertise, ensuring high-quality education for all pupils.
