Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal to join the senior leadership team at Lift Ryde on the Isle of Wight. You will guide strategic priorities, shape curriculum and pastoral care, and drive improvements across teaching and learning.

The role requires Qualified Teacher Status and experience as a middle leader, plus strong collaboration and communication skills to support students, staff and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status and middle-leader experience.
• Proven track record of achieving progress for all students.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the school improvement plan and guide daily operations.
• Coach and develop middle leaders and teaching staff through appraisal and training.
• Help shape whole-school strategies in curriculum, student welfare or behaviour.
• Model high-quality teaching and support colleagues to create engaging, inclusive lessons.
• Use student progress data to identify strengths and inform improvements.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external partners.
