Job summary

Thetford Academy invites applications for an Assistant Principal to lead attendance across the school. The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and focuses on developing, implementing and reviewing attendance strategies, liaising with key staff to meet pupil needs and ensuring high standards of student conduct and wellbeing.

You will be a visionary leader with coaching ability, responsible for data-driven insights, professional development of staff, and embedding an inclusive, safe school

Qualifications

• An appropriate degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Proven leadership and educational strategy experience.
• Experience raising attendance standards and using data to drive improvements.
• Experience in performance management and development planning.
• Experience leading pedagogical change and supporting staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead SLT to achieve excellent attendance across the school.
• Develop and implement the attendance strategy and development plans.
• Coordinate with Attendance Officer, SENDCo and Safeguarding Lead.
• Lead personal development within the Academy.
• Analyze performance data and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Drive equality, diversity and inclusion across activities.
• Collaborate with external agencies to ensure pupil safety and wellbeing.
• Provide line management as directed by the Principal/VP.
