Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Rehabilitation support professional to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals under supervision. You will help undertake baseline assessments and implement treatment programmes within defined parameters across clinical settings.

The role requires driving licence and awareness of health legislation, with opportunities to contribute to a patient-centered care team and participate in a range of clinics and activities.

Qualifications

  • HNC or SVQ III in healthcare/education or social care or equivalent experience.
  • Short specialist courses relevant to the clinical area.
  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and activities relevant to client group.
  • Driving licence is required (full UK/EU/EEA licence).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows clearly defined parameters.
  • Assess, implement, progress treatment and discharge in accordance with agreed protocols and parameters.
  • Plan and prioritise delegated patient caseload.
  • Plan and organise a range of therapeutic activities/clinics.

The Role
  • To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.
  • Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
  • Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings.
  • Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

What You'll Bring

  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
