A leading healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker for Merlin Ward, specializing in ENT surgeries. The position demands a Level 4 healthcare qualification and offers a supportive environment for ongoing professional development. Candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized patient care under the supervision of registered nurses while developing their skills within a flexible training framework. Bilingual skills in Welsh are desirable.
The post requires a Level 4 Certificate in Healthcare OR previous NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
*The post-holder will be responsible for delivering high standards of person-centred, safe, individualised, efficient, and cost-effective care under the delegated authority of a registered nurse. Delegation involves transferring authority to a competent individual to perform specific tasks within a defined situation (NMC 2019).
*The post-holder will communicate effectively at all times, contribute to the team philosophy, and practice in accordance with Health Board standards and statutory requirements, operating within the role's boundaries and assessed competencies.
*The post-holder will work with the line manager to develop their role within the Knowledge & Skills Framework (KSF) post outline and agreed skills and competencies.
*The post-holder must identify areas for further training with the support of the line manager and attend in-service training to maintain competency and professional development.
Merlin Ward is a busy surgical ward specialising in ENT, managing complex conditions and providing safe, high-quality evidence-based care.
