Job summary

United Utilities is seeking an Assistant Planner in Warrington to assist the PMO with developing, maintaining and reporting on project schedules. You will work with Planning Managers and project delivery teams to ensure accurate scheduling data.

You will gain exposure to Primavera and other planning practices, attend project meetings for notes and follow-up actions, and help deliver planning analyses while building foundational skills in WBS/RBS/OBS/CBS structures.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-level or equivalent; working towards a degree or professional qualification in project management or related field.
• Some exposure to project planning or scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is desirable.
• Basic understanding of project lifecycles and planning principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules under guidance from Planning Managers/Senior Planning Managers.
• Support data entry and updates in Primavera.
• Collate progress updates from contractors and internal teams.
• Maintain records of schedule changes and track impacts.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for schedule performance.
