Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust's Radiological Sciences Unit seeks an enthusiastic assistant physicist to support imaging physics, quality control, and radiation safety. You will gain broad exposure to diagnostic radiology and radiation protection while helping ensure regulatory compliance and high patient care.

You’ll work with clinicians and scientists in a leading AHSC environment, developing skills across imaging modalities and safety practices within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a physics background seeking initial experience in diagnostic radiology and radiation protection.
• Interest in regulatory compliance, patient safety and data analysis within clinical imaging.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a hospital Radiological Sciences Unit.

Responsabilités

• Assist quality control testing of x-ray imaging equipment, including setup and supervision.
• Support data analysis and ensure data accuracy across systems and plots.
• Assist with routine checks and maintenance of equipment in the department.
• Contribute to audits of X-ray facilities and radiation working arrangements.
• Assist in the measurement of patient doses and optimization of procedures.
• Act as an operator under IR(ME)R, following Trust policies.
