Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is expanding its Radiological Sciences Unit and seeks a Senior Diagnostic Radiological Physicist (Band 8A) who is HCPC registered and able to provide expert radiological physics support across sites in London.

The role includes acceptance, commissioning and QA of x-ray diagnostic equipment, development of examination protocols, and teaching STP training and MSc lecturing. Training and progression toward MPE status are available.

Qualifications

MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent.
HCPC registration with statutory requirements.
Recognition as Medical Physics Expert (MPE).
NHS STP training in medical physics or equivalent.
Experience with IRMER compliance and QA of X-ray equipment.

Responsibilities

Act as Senior Radiological Physicist for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and SLA customers.
Provide highly complex radiological physics support and technical expertise.
Act as Medical Physics Expert for specified work areas.
Plan and implement systems for QA data handling and analysis.
Teach staff and update policies to ensure X-ray safety.
