Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group is seeking an Assistant Nursery Manager at our Hitchin nursery to help deliver outstanding care and education for up to 123 children daily. You will support the Nursery Manager, lead quality and compliance, and promote the nursery and occupancy growth.

Bring your energy, EYFS expertise, and leadership skills to develop staff, maintain high standards, and contribute to a thriving, inclusive nursery community for children and families.

Qualifications

• Must have full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification and DBS check.
• Ideal candidate will have a higher childcare qualification and/or a management/leadership qualification.
• Experience in childcare sector and in leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality and Compliance: ensure the nursery meets Ofsted, EYFS, and legislative requirements through high-quality practice and audits.
• Inspire and Support the Team: engage with children’s learning and development while guiding and supporting staff across areas.
• Drive Success and Growth: work with the Nursery Manager to manage budgets, occupancy, and staffing to grow a high-quality setting.
