Job summary

Busy Bees Canterbury is seeking an Assistant Centre Director to support the Centre Director in running a busy, high-quality nursery. You will lead a motivated team, help deliver the Bee Curious curriculum, and ensure compliance with Ofsted standards.

With a Level 3 early years qualification and leadership experience, you will mentor staff, oversee daily operations, recruit, and contribute to a welcoming, safe setting for children and families.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in early years education.
• Experience leading a nursery or classroom.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in overseeing daily operations and educational standards.
• Assist in developing and delivering an engaging, high-quality curriculum tailored to children’s needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high safety and health standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, building a cohesive and motivated team.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and a positive centre experience for families.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, and recruitment, and support financial planning for sustainability.
