Role Overview:
Jaded London are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Merchandiser to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a growing brand and department, with the opportunity to bring your own ideas and expertise to the role. Your focuses will be to bring strong trade analysis and suggestions to Jaded London, Jaded Swim, and Jaded Unisex, managing actions on a daily, weekly, and seasonal basis. Key responsibilities include forecasting sales, quantifying buys, reviewing size, and contributing to planning, range building, and strategy.

What will I be doing?
- Updating Monday trade reports accurately and timely, identifying key highlights and lowlights, and suggesting actions to maximize sales and reduce stock risks. Driving analysis independently and presenting findings weekly.
- Following up on trade actions with departments like Ecommerce, Social, Logistics, Production, Design, and Suppliers. Providing feedback and suggestions for future strategies.
- Monitoring slow and strong sellers, recommending actions such as cancellations, phasing, and buy reductions to manage risk, and reviewing impacts on OTB.
- Maintaining daily awareness of trading performance, especially during collection launches, and adapting stock management accordingly.
- Owning repeats and continuity lines, forecasting line cards accurately to ensure maximum availability.
- Recommending and adjusting quantities for repeats and continuity lines.
- Forecasting size ratios for new styles, analyzing sizing and returns regularly.
- Suggesting price amendments with rationale considering margin, cover, seasonality, and discounts.
- Updating WSSI and category WSSI, highlighting opportunities and risks, and deputising reforecasts in the absence of the Merchandiser.
- Contributing to seasonal analysis and presenting insights to the team.
- Managing critical paths with awareness of deadlines, trading dates, and product lifecycle, communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
- Building relationships with suppliers, understanding supply chain capacities, freight impacts, and key calendar dates.
- Reviewing intake levels, reporting risks, and working with warehouses on logistics priorities.
- Collaborating with buying and design teams to assess risks and opportunities for styles, categories, and customer targeting.
- Positioning and trading pop-up shops, working with external partners and retail staff for revenue maximization.
- Building relationships with wholesale partners, understanding their trading climate, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Providing ongoing trade insights and analysis to support the brand’s evolution.
Requirements
- Strong commercial awareness and trading mindset.
- Proven forecasting, SKU management, and stock management experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Passion for Jaded London and the fashion industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers.
- Proactive, adaptable, and innovative in streamlining processes.
- Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
