Job description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our Merchandising team!

About The Role

To assist the Merchandiser in effectively planning and trading the relevant Division(s) of responsibility. To analyze brand, category, or attribute trading patterns and propose actions to improve sales, margin, or stock-turn results. To support the planning process through assortment/range plans and liaise with buying colleagues. To deputise for the Merchandiser in their absence.

Depending on your role, you may work fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working, known as 'Hybrid'. Our policy allows colleagues to work from home part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs. About You

In this role, you will support the Merchandiser in delivering accurate planning, forecasting, and trading decisions that drive commercial success. You will work closely with Buying and key stakeholders to manage stock, maximize sales, and mitigate risks across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with in-season reviews and understanding sales, margin, and OTB plans.
2. Supporting range planning by analyzing historical sales and space allocation.
3. Producing and maintaining accurate weekly trade reports.
4. Monitoring OTB spend, stock turn, receipts, and aged stock.
5. Contributing to clearance strategies and identifying markdown risks.
6. Attending trade and forecast meetings, proposing actions to improve performance.
