Job summary

ASOS is seeking an Assistant Merchandise Planner to support the Head of Merchandise Planning and the Merchandise Planner. You will drive day-to-day analysis of trade performance, create forecasts, and deliver insights to support decision making across the merchandising team.

You will participate in trade meetings, monitor stock health, and overlay performance with customer data to guide trade decisions. The role is based in the UK, with a focus on optimizing revenue and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fashion merchandising and/or data insights is essential.
  • Experience maintaining sales, stock, intake and OTB trackers/forecasts.
  • Ability to make fast, well-informed decisions in a busy environment.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills; proficient in Excel at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As an Assistant Merchandise Planner you will be responsible for providing support to the Head of Merchandise Planning and to the Merchandise Planner.

You will drive day-to-day analysis of trade performance, produce insights to support decision making, and work collaboratively with the team and other functions to deliver Operating Model KPIs.

  • Provide analytical support to the Head of Merchandise Planning and the Merchandise Planner to enable strategic decision making.
  • Monitor performance and surface opportunities as well as potential risks.
  • Participate in trade meetings with Merchandise Planners and the Head of Merchandise Planning.
  • Deliver insights on stock health and sell-through to understand and satisfy customer demand.
  • Overlay performance analysis with additional customer data to support trade decision making.
  • Create forecasts (in PGRTPs and Excel) to review different scenarios, propose short- and long-term budgets, then review and update frequently based on trade and retail team feedback.
  • Commitment, OTB and intake maintenance.
  • Using revenue and profitability as a key measure of success.
  • Provide analysis and visibility of end-to-end performance KPIs at the product group level.

GMP currently have an opportunity on the team: Assistant Merchandise Planner (currently a fixed-term maternity cover role with the potential to become a permanent role).

Qualifications
