Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer to support the Medical Engineering Department in daily operations and staff. The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with maintenance experience and health and safety awareness.

The successful candidate will assist with medical device library services, calibration, safety testing and minor repairs, alongside stock control and device commissioning.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience within a maintenance environment with understanding of health and safety legislation.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day support to the Medical Engineering Department and staff; duties include medical device library service, maintenance of basic medical devices, electrical safety testing, routine service/calibration and minor device repair.
• Administrative duties including stock management, commissioning new devices and disposal of redundant equipment; booking in medical devices, theatre instrument processing, hoist work, ward rounds and reupholstering couch sections.
