Assistant Marketing Manager - Full Time on Site in Guildford - Salary £40-£45,000
I am looking to recruit for a major manufacturing company an Assistant Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in B2B marketing and organising national exhibitions. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, fulfilling day-to-day marketing duties to contribute to the company’s smooth operation. With a creative approach, this role will effectively raise brand awareness and increase audience growth through marketing techniques.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Track and analyse the performance of advertising campaigns, manage core functions of the marketing team, and ensure all marketing material aligns with the client’s brand identity across digital and traditional channels.
- Oversee and manage collaborations with marketing and creative partners.
- Conduct industry market research, analyze trends, and monitor competitors.
- Manage the marketing inbox, handling queries promptly via phone and email.
- Utilize marketing analytics tools to gather data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.), improve workflows, and develop new processes to support Service, Sales, and Marketing departments.
- Measure and report on marketing campaign performance, gaining insights and assessing against objectives.
- Create valuable marketing content, write marketing literature, and deliver promotional presentations. Develop educational, training, and promotional videos.
- Contribute to the development and strategy of product launches, annual exhibitions, and other events.
- Manage, oversee, and delegate tasks to Junior Graphics Designer.
- Support sales and service teams.
- Organize marketing collateral and materials for the sales team, and maintain and develop loyalty programs.
- Liaise with external marketing agencies to manage the company website, social media accounts, reviews, case studies, and ongoing campaigns.
- Provide partners with marketing materials and updated product information for digital and print formats.
- Engage in B2B communication to build trust and partnerships with marketing teams and external partners.
- Perform daily marketing administrative tasks to ensure departmental functionality and coordination.
- Contribute proactively to team objectives, communicating ideas and initiatives effectively with team members and management.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in organizing projects and promotional events.
- Manage marketing invoices and finances, ensuring cost-effectiveness and savings.
Skills / Experience
- Experience or recent internship in marketing is advantageous.
- Proven ability to identify target audiences and lead multi-channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, marketing software, Adobe programs, and online applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of market research, strategies, and databases.
