Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group in Edinburgh is seeking an Assistant Manager for Statistical Reporting to own allocated reporting activities and support change delivery. You’ll improve processes, collaborate across teams, and ensure high-quality regulatory returns to BoE, UK Finance and FCA.

Hybrid role with two days/week in Edinburgh. A professional accounting qualification or progress toward ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA is encouraged, and strong Excel/data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting, finance controls, or related finance environment.
• A professional accounting qualification, or progress towards ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with data interpretation and root-cause analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain technical matters to stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills to manage deadlines and own actions.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with willingness to improve processes.
• Strong Excel and data skills to analyse information and support reporting.
• Experience using Power Tools and Co-Pilot.

Responsibilities

• Delivery at pace: produce accurate, timely statistical returns meeting regulatory and internal requirements.
• Analytical review: assess data movements, identify trends, investigate variances and evidence conclusions.
• Stakeholder collaboration: build relationships with stakeholders and data suppliers, communicate requirements and progress.
• Risk and control: maintain controls, collect evidence, identify issues and support remediation.
• Continuous improvement: simplify processes, strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, improve timeliness.
• Change support: assess impacts of regulatory and system changes, support testing and rollout.
• Team contribution: share knowledge, coach colleagues, and develop professionally.
