The Grantley Arms in Wonersh near Guildford is hiring an Assistant Manager. We pride ourselves on a fantastic work environment, serving beverages and seasonal food, with a strong community pub tradition.

• As the successful applicant you will have a passion to deliver exceptional customer service every time and be able to build rapport with our customers and our team to continue the success of our pub.
• You will be passionate about training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers and also be a responsible key holder to be able to lead shifts safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• As the successful Assistant Manager you will:
• Have experience championing excellent service through engagement and training
• Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team to deliver the best service possible
• Be an active hands-on manager with excellent communication skills
• Be responsible and able to manage the FOH rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times
• Working alongside your GM & DM, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new experiences for our guests
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both Liquor GP and labour
• Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through positive engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
