Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking an Assistant Manager, KYC to co-lead the KYC Team in Guernsey. You will coordinate investor onboarding and support Fund Administration teams for BAU, ensuring AML/KYC compliance and timely processing.

You'll build strong relationships with fund administrators, investment managers and investors, contribute to regulatory updates, and drive onboarding timelines while maintaining high data quality across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification or equivalent industry experience with strong KYC/CDD across funds.
  • Good AML/KYC understanding, with FATCA/CRS knowledge an advantage.
  • Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage relationships with fund admins, managers and investors.
  • Proficient in MS Word/Excel, with ability to manage and analyse information and documentation.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet targets, and report to boards and seniors.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As an Assistant Manager, KYC,You will co-lead the KYC Team with the support of the Manager and assist the Guernsey Funds business by co-ordinating the seamless on-boarding of investors as well as maintaining a high level of support to the Fund Administration teams for BAU.

What you'll do
  • You'll develop and maintain strong relationships with fund administrators, investment managers, investors, intermediaries, administration teams, and other key stakeholders, delivering a high standard of client service while balancing commercial objectives with AML/KYC, regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements
  • You'll attend and actively contribute to board meetings, provide updates on AML/KYC matters, investor onboarding progress, remediation projects, and regulatory developments, and build trust and credibility through clear, professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You'll drive and oversee the investor onboarding process, communicating directly with investors and their representatives to resolve complex due diligence requirements, manage onboarding timelines, coordinate risk profiling, risk ratings, periodic reviews, and regularly report on progress
  • You'll ensure all investor information is accurately collated, recorded, reviewed, and maintained in a timely manner, support the review and sign-off of normal and low-risk investor files where required, and ensure onboarding activities are delivered in line with contractual, legal, regulatory, and best-practice standards
  • You'll work closely with the wider Funds business, Compliance teams, and Senior Management to identify, elevate, and manage risks and issues, while providing guidance, training, and development support to junior KYC team members across jurisdictions and promoting a collaborative, proactive approach to the investor acceptance process

Qualifications
  • You have a professional qualification or relevant industry experience, with strong knowledge of CDD/KYC reviews and the funds industry
  • You possess a good understanding of AML/KYC requirements, with knowledge of FATCA and CRS regulations considered a distinct advantage
  • You demonstrate strong client-facing skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with fund administrators, investment managers, investors, intermediaries, service providers, and other key stakeholders
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and can effectively manage, analyze, and maintain information and documentation.
  • You have the ability to manage and support projects, deliver against targets and deadlines, and provide accurate reporting to boards and senior stakeholders
