Job summary

FRP, a leading UK business advisory firm, is seeking a qualified ACA/ACCA to join its Financial Reporting team in London as an Assistant Manager. You will own complex financial statements, IFRS conversions, and group reporting for listed and investor-backed clients.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with at least 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Experience preparing complex financial statements under IFRS/UK GAAP across all line items.
• Proven ability to research complex technical accounting topics and apply to client circumstances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with methodical data interpretation.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Evidence of coaching junior staff.
• Proactive team player with positive attitude.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Flexible to tight deadlines and critical project points.
• Strong time management and delivery capability.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements under IFRS and FRS 101/102.
• IFRS conversions.
• Preparation of FPPP memos and related controls.
• Preparation and review of group management reporting.
• Accounting for transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and reverse takeovers.
• Performing financial reporting valuations for debt and equity instruments.
• Drafting technical accounting memos on areas such as convertible loan notes, impairments, leases, and revenue recognition.
• Preparing integrated Excel-based forecast models covering P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and managing day-to-day communications.
• Coaching and supporting junior team members.
• Liaising with clients’ auditors and other advisors to meet milestones.
• Developing your network to grow business development capabilities.
