Apex Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Manager in Accounting & Financial Reporting to own monthly management accounts and year-end reporting. You will mentor junior staff, provide technical accounting input, and ensure smooth client operations including payments and tax filings.

Role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications with strong accounting foundation and a proactive, organized approach to driving high-quality service across global teams.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong accounting knowledge.
• Experience in management accounts preparation, ideally in a multi-client environment.
• High level of technical knowledge and ability to apply it in practical situations.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage priorities effectively
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on improving processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Team player with a can do attitude and interest in business growth

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of clients, taking ownership of monthly management accounts.
• Support and mentor junior team members across global teams.
• Provide technical accounting advice and assist with ad hoc projects.
• Oversee client payment processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and build strong client relationships.
• Review and support tax filings (VAT, corporation tax, PSA).
• Lead year-end processes, including financial statements and audit coordination.
• Assist with billing, debt management, and team development.
