Job summary

Storage King Warrington is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to support a busy store and grow the business. You will blend customer service, sales focus, and facilities management in a varied, hands-on role.

Join a small team and report to the Store Manager; enjoy a structured training plan, free parking on site, a health plan, pension and holiday entitlement. The role is 40 hours per week, with weekday shifts and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• A confident personality with good customer service skills.
• Experience in a sales role and ability to grow sales while keeping customers happy.
• Reliable, willing to learn, and able to work in a small team.
• Able to lone work occasionally and stay physically active on site.
• IT literate with some administration experience; driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer experience in person and by phone.
• Report to Store Manager; operate as a two-person team.
• Follow up overnight website enquiries and convert prospects into customers.
• Daily unit checks to ensure security.
• Chase customer payments and obtain service reviews.
• Keep the storage facility neat and tidy.

Job description

Storage King is looking for an energetic, sales motivated Assistant Manager to support the team in all aspects of running of our busy Warrington store and growing the business.

As an Assistant Manager, this role is part customer service, part sales and part facilities management. This is a varied position, and no day is the same

In this role as Assistant Manager you will be:

• Providing a great customer experience both on the phone and face to face
• Report into the Store Manager (You are a team of 2)
• Following up on all overnight website enquiries and converting any prospects into storage customers
• Daily checking of units making sure that all is secure
• Chasing customer payments
• Gaining customer reviews on your service
• Making sure the storage facility is neat and tidy for your customers

To be successful in this role of Assistant Store Manager you will need:

• A confident personality with good customer service skills
• Experience in a sales role (this is not hard sales but keeping customers happy and increasing sales is important)
• To be reliable and willing to learn
• Ability to work in a small team
• Ability to lone work on occasion
• Have a responsible and self-motivated attitude (and support your manager)
• Physically fit (on your feet and walking up and down the facility)
• IT literate (there's some administration)
• Driving licence (desirable)

In return you will be working within a supportive management structure

• Salary scale - Up to £27,000 basic plus good monthly and quarterly bonuses (total package circa £31k OTE).
• 20 days holiday (rising to 25 days) and Bank Holiday

Hours - 40 hours per week (Mon to Fri - 8.30am to 6pm on a split shift basis), alternate Saturdays (10 - 4pm)
