Job summary

Professionals At Play is hiring an Assistant Manager for Roxy Lanes Bristol Union Street. You will lead a team, drive guest experiences, and uphold brand standards while managing safety and venue performance.

We seek a energetic leader who can train staff, contribute to quarterly plans, and deliver exceptional service across 45-hour weeks with weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hospitality teams and delivering guest experiences.
• Ability to train and coach staff to meet brand standards.
• Strong communication and KPI reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure we are delivering the best gaming experience for guests.
• Input on quarterly business plans.
• Lead by example through training and developing a winning team.
• Report financials and venue targets for End of Night Service.
• Manage safety, security and licensing aspects of the business.
• Manage guest experience platform to improve service and standards.
• Maintain a fun and engaging culture using Brand Standards and Company Ethos.
• Encourage team development and growth.
• Ensure service standards and duty management during operating hours.
• Create in-house incentives to achieve and be rewarded by KPI growth.
• Be an industry expert in duty management.

Here you will always find state of the art ten-pin bowling lanes, with our venues being centred around this game - hence the name! A wide variety of other gaming is also available, from Shuffleboard to American Pool, Tech Darts to Karaoke and much more! Roxy Lanes also attracts a family audience, allowing under 18s in during the daytime accompanied by an adult. Live sports are also available throughout all Roxy Lanes venues, showing key sporting events through Sky Sports and BT Sports.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure we are delivering the best gaming experience for our guests on every visit.
• Having an input on delivering the quarterly business plans.
• Leading by example through; Training, coaching and developing a winning team.
• Report financials and venue targets for End of Night Service

JOB SPECIFICS

• 45hr working week across 5 shifts
• It is expected that you will be available to work weekends and public holidays
• Expected to have a reliable commute to work
• Managing a large team of up to 50 staff members
• Reporting KPI’s weekly, monthly, and quarterly to the Area Operations Manager
• Liaising with all departments of the Professionals At Play business including; marketing, sales, finance, operations and maintenance.
