Roxy Ball Room Glasgow Sauchiehall Street is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead a vibrant 18+ hospitality venue. You will drive guest experiences, coach a large team, manage budgets, and ensure safety and licensing compliance.

The role demands a dynamic leader who can blend fun with professional standards to deliver top results. Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, you will implement brand standards, run duty management, and execute plans to grow the venue’s performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in hospitality or leisure settings.
• Ability to drive business performance and guest experience.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive outstanding experiences on every visit.
• Contribute to delivering quarterly business plans.
• Lead and coach a large team to meet targets.
• Manage P&L to achieve financial targets and expectations.
• Oversee safety, security and licensing compliance.
• Manage guest experience platform to raise service standards.
• Uphold brand standards and company ethos in daily operations.
• Conduct monthly reviews with teams to drive development.
• Ensure service standards and duty management across hours.
• Become an industry expert in duty management.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure we are delivering the best experience for our guests on every visit
• Having an input on delivering the quarterly business plans.
• Leading by example through; Training, coaching and developing a winning team.
• Managing a P&L to meet financial targets and expectations.
• Managing the Safety, Security and licensing aspects of the business
• Managing our guest experience platform to improve service and standards
• Maintain a fun and engaging culture using our Brand Standards and Company Ethos
• Monthly reviews with all your team members encouraging their growth and development.
• Ensuring service standards and duty management are upheld throughout operating hours
• Be an industry expert in all areas of duty management

JOB SPECIFICS

• 45hr working week across 5 shifts
• It is expected that you will be available to work weekends and public holidays
• Expected to have a reliable commute to work
• Managing a large team of up to 50 staff members
• Reporting KPI’s weekly, monthly, and quarterly to the Area Operations Manager
• Liaising with all departments of the Professionals At Play business including; marketing, sales, finance, operations and maintenance.
