Job summary

The Wheelwright's Arms in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead guest experiences and oversee food and beverage operations. You will drive performance, develop staff, and work alongside the General Manager to shape daily service excellence.

You'll manage evenings, weekends and holidays, support recruitment and training, and uphold high standards across a welcoming pub environment. This is a hands-on role with opportunity to progress within Upham Inns.

• Overall responsibility for the food and beverage
• Achieving the KPI's / performance metrics for the ongoing financial success of the business

You will still be out there on the floor, right at the heart of the action - but you'll be more than just 'one of the team'. While the General Manager drives the business, it is you that manages the day-to-day running of the business...

You'll need to take ownership of problems, and you'll live by a mantra of 'always doing the right thing' - sometimes needing to think outside the box.
