Upham Inns is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead guest experience across our pubs, staying hands-on on the floor and driving service standards. You will support the General Manager and help manage day-to-day operations in our Southern England venues.

The role offers a clear development pathway to General Manager, with flexible shifts and a strong team-focused environment that values staff growth and guest satisfaction.

Formación

• Previous supervisory experience within Hospitality.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Assistant Manager Requirements:

• Previous supervisory experience within Hospitality
• The Right to Work in the UK
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for staff development and upskilling
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Innovative, trustworthy and impartial
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is essential.

You will still be out there on the floor, right at the heart of the action - but you’ll be more than just ‘one of the team’. While the General Manager drives the business, it is you that manages the day-to-day running of the business…

You’ll need to take ownership of problems, and you’ll live by a mantra of ‘always doing the right thing’ – sometimes needing to think outside the box. Supporting the General Manager is a great way to learn the business side of running a pub. It is a chance to develop your skills and gain the knowledge you need to progress your career even further.

Most of our pubs have some Charming Bedrooms as well. New to our growing family
is Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American Steakhouse brand that we started
rolling out last year.
