Job summary

Wildwood, located in Plymouth at Royal William Yard, is seeking a personality-packed Assistant Manager to join a supportive team. You’ll lead front-of-house operations, drive guest experiences, and work closely with management to maintain a high standard of service and culture.

This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth. You’ll be responsible for leading a busy service, training and developing staff, managing stock and budgets, and ensuring health & safety and cash

Qualifications

• People management experience is essential.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Experience leading front-of-house teams and events.

• Good stock control, ordering and vendor liaison.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety and cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-energy service on the floor and bar areas.
• Motivate and develop the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Drive footfall and sales through engaging guest interactions and events.
• Oversee recruitment, training and staff wellbeing, plus performance management.
• Manage stock levels, place orders, and liaise with suppliers.
• Control labour, rotas and productivity to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure health & safety, compliance, and cash handling standards are met.
• Represent Wildwood with warmth, style and confidence to guests.
