Job summary

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Plymouth to support the Store Manager in leading the retail team and driving daily operations. You’ll balance hands-on leadership with a focus on customer service and store performance.

The ideal candidate has retail leadership experience, excellent people skills, and strong organizational abilities, with the flexibility to cover weekends and bank holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail leadership or supervisory roles.
• Comfortable driving KPI’s and results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and MS Office/Google Workspace tools.

• Lead the retail team and support the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Drive store performance and customer service to meet targets.
• Ensure smooth running of the store and respond to operational needs as they arise.
• Maintain visual standards and stock accuracy.

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations.
