Job summary

Costa Coffee is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our Newport store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help ensure the store runs efficiently, uphold Costa standards, and lead the team to deliver a memorable coffee experience for every customer.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 37.5-hour week, a salary of £26,100 per year, a six-monthly bonus scheme, 28 days of holiday (including Bank Holidays), and staff discounts on drinks and food.

Qualifications

• Love of Costa brand and passion for people
• Supervisory/management experience in hospitality or retail
• Ability to lead a team, teach and empower others
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the store team to deliver an unbeatable Costa coffee experience
• Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, stock, standards, policies and in-store marketing
• Monitor KPI reports and translate insights into daily/weekly actions
• Represent the Costa brand and uphold brand standards with professionalism

A bit about the role

Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help make sure that everything about the store is efficient and effective. That means getting involved in operations, store and company culture, customer relationships, and of course, the coffee. This is going to be so much fun.

• Becoming a brand ambassador and helping us shine
• Leading the team to deliver an unbeatable coffee experience for every customer
• Overseeing all aspects of operations, from cash and stock management to Costa standards, policies & procedures to in-store marketing and more
• Monitoring the store KPI report and translating it into daily and weekly actions
• Managing, growing, coaching, supporting and delegating to the team – all that lovely people stuff
