Job summary

Rhodium Consulting in Leeds is seeking an Assistant Manager for a busy electrical and lighting wholesaler. You will be based at the trade counter and support the Branch Manager to oversee the business and lead the team.

You will handle face-to-face sales enquiries, help grow the branch, and ensure fast, friendly service that keeps customers returning. Working hours are 7.30am–5pm, with negotiable shift times.

Qualifications

• Electrical product knowledge gained within an Electrical Wholesaler.
• Ability to build relationships with different types of customers.
• Good telephone manner, friendly and customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Based at the trade counter, be an integral part of a busy branch.
• Deal with sales enquiries face to face.
• Represent the trade counter and help grow the business to exceed sales targets.
• Ensure customers' needs are met quickly with a service that encourages repeat visits.
• Assist in other branch roles such as stores, supplier liaison, stock control, admin.
• Support the branch manager by supervising the team in their absence.

Overview

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Manager within a rapidly expanding electrical and lighting wholesaler in the Leeds area.

Led by an ambitious Branch Manager, you will be joining a great team and overseeing the business in conjunction with the manager, as well as having responsibility in their absence.

Responsibilities

• Based at the trade counter, you will become an integral part of a busy and fast moving branch
• Deal with sales enquiries on a face to face basis
• You will represent the trade counter department within the branch and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed their sales targets
• You will ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis
• You may also be required to help in other roles within the branch (including stores, supplier liaison, stock control, admin)
• You will be responsible for assisting the branch manager with a team of staff, overseeing the team when they are away from the business

Working hours
