Job description

Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support the home manager and Deputy Manager in the daily running of the home, working directly in care. The role involves ensuring high standards of operation, maintaining staffing levels, and implementing staff training.

Rate of Pay: To be discussed at interview

Contract Type: Full Time

Contract Hours: 40 Hours, including alternate weekends

Location: High Wycombe - Ryeview Manor

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in efficiently running the home.
  • Supervise staff members.
  • Provide direct care on a daily basis.
  • Report directly to the Home Manager or their representative, adhering to employment terms.
Responsibilities in the Absence of the Manager/Deputy Manager:
  • Ensure the home operates to high standards, complying with regulations and requirements of relevant authorities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining staff training programs.
  • Manage the medication system, including ordering, recording, and disposal.
  • Help maintain appropriate staffing levels and staff mix.
Essential Skills, Characteristics, and Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience in dementia care.
