Job summary

Halfords Group PLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Autocentres in Essex. You will support the Centre Manager, lead the team, and ensure a top-notch customer journey. You will help manage workshop activity, grow sales, and deliver excellent service, while training staff and maintaining safety standards.

The role offers a clear progression path with extensive training opportunities and a focus on customer experience across our AutoCentre network.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high customer satisfaction and coaching colleagues.
• Ability to meet Health and Safety standards and drive compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• IT proficient and willing to learn in-house systems.
• Current valid driving licence.

• On-target earnings up to £45,422
• Comprising a base salary of £33,481 - £36,322
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £9,100 per year.

Skills and experience

• Experience / Ability to deliver high customer satisfaction and experience through effective management
• Experience / Ability to deliver coaching/training in the moment to colleagues
• Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
• IT Proficient, with the willingness to learn in-house systems
• A current valid driving licence
