Job summary

Clarks in Colchester is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations. This hands-on role blends leadership, customer service and operational management.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team leader, comfortable guiding performance, coaching colleagues, and ensuring the store meets targets. You will work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays, with access to Clarks benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail leadership or supervisory roles.
• Ability to drive KPIs and results while maintaining high service levels.
• Strong communication and motivational skills to lead a team.
• Organised and proactive, with good problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends/bank holidays.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory control and Office/Workspace tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading daily operations and achieving performance goals.
• Coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Monitor KPI performance and optimize store processes.
• Ensure accurate POS transactions, stock checks and inventory procedures.

About the role:

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations.
