The Hawes Inn, part of the Vintage Inns collection under Mitchells & Butlers, invites an Assistant Manager to join the Edinburgh area. You’ll support the General Manager, lead a team, and mentor individuals to reach their potential, driving consistent guest experiences in a warm, pub setting.

With a focus on developing people, you’ll role-model high standards and oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service from kitchen to floor.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality management experience is required.
• Proven ability to train and develop a team.
• Strong guest-focused approach and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Act as Duty Manager when the General Manager is unavailable.
• Train, inspire and coach the team to deliver excellent food, drink and service.
• Lead the team to create memorable guest experiences that encourage repeat visits.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING? AS ASSISTANT MANAGER YOU’LL…
