Job summary

Halfords Garage Services invites you to join our Fusion centre in Cirencester as Assistant Manager. You will work with the Centre Manager to provide productive leadership, drive profitability, and focus on the customer journey.

Previous hands-on mechanic experience is welcome as you split time between workshop tasks and daily sales and service. This role offers progression and training, a strong bonus scheme with on-target earnings up to £42,100, a base salary of £35,000, and uncapped bonus

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high customer satisfaction through effective management.
• Ability to coach and train colleagues on the shop floor.
• Experience meeting Health and Safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with IT and in-house systems.
• A current valid driving licence.

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll work alongside the Centre Manager, to provide productive management and leadership, driving profitability, with firm focus on the customers journey. Ideally you will have had previous hands-on experience as a mechanic as you will be dividing your time between the workshop, working alongside the technicians, and assisting the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service.

• On-target earnings up to £42,100
• Comprising a base salary of £35,000
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £7,100 per year
• 5 days a week (the centre is closed on a Sunday)

• Experience / Ability to deliver high customer satisfaction and experience through effective management
• Experience / Ability to deliver coaching/training in the moment to colleagues
• Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
• IT Proficient, with the willingness to learn in-house systems
• A current valid driving licence
