Kenneth Brian Associates is partnering with a growing business in Camberley to recruit an experienced Assistant Management Accountant. You will own a broad range of accounting duties and support the finance team in delivering accurate monthly management accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant.
• Pursuing AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualifications.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Maintain accurate purchase and sales ledgers.
• Assist with budgeting, reporting and analysis as required.
• Manage bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoring.
• Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
• Contribute to improvements in accounting processes and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• - Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
• - Support with balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
• - Maintain accurate financial records including purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
• - Assist with budgeting, reporting and analysis as required
• - Manage bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoring
• - Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
• - Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
• - Contribute to improvements in accounting processes and efficiencies

Candidate Requirements

• - Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant
• - Progressing towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA
• - Strong understanding of accounting principles
• - Proficient MS Excel skills
• - High level of accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving ability
• - Confident communicator and team player
• - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, office-based environment
