Job summary

Lincoln Study Support Career Development is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team in Lincoln. The role offers exposure to management accounting tasks and study support toward AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualifications, with mentorship from the Finance Manager.

You will handle month-end close, journals, reconciliations and financial analysis, while exploring process improvements and automation opportunities as you develop your accounting career.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts or finance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good Excel skills and numerical proficiency.
• Keen to progress with professional qualification.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the month-end close and management information.
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Completing balance sheet and cash reconciliations.
• Investigating variances and ensuring data accuracy.
• Supporting cashflow reporting and financial analysis.
• Processing supplier invoices and assisting with payments.
• Maintaining ledger records and audit trails.
• Assist with year-end reporting and tax information.
• Collaborating to improve systems and processes.
• Identifying opportunities to automate tasks.
