Job summary

Able Bridge Recruitment Ltd is assisting a services business on the outskirts of Stirling to recruit an assistant accountant. The role focuses on supporting monthly management reports and stock accounting tasks within a collaborative finance team.

You will help prepare management accounts, analyze margins, reconcile stock to the general ledger, and assist with year-end and regulatory reporting. A part-qualified CIMA/ACCA with 5+ years UK experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CIMA/ACCA part qualified with at least 5 years UK accounting experience.
• Experience in management accounting and stock/inventory reporting.
• Experience within a services business environment.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including multi-currency reporting.
• Analyze product margins and investigate variances.
• Support stock and inventory reporting.
• Maintain ledgers for subsidiary companies.
• Assist with year-end, audits and regulatory reporting.
• Reconcile stock to the GL and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare stock ageing reports and support stock counts.
• Provide finance support to operations on stock queries.
