Job summary

Golfbreaks seeks an Assistant Management Accountant to own key parts of the management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and balance-sheet reconciliations, with scope to manage end-to-end month-end close.

You will join a close-knit finance team, working in a high-volume environment and developing your knowledge of the wider reporting process. Hybrid working is available, with opportunities to progress professionally.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification.
• Minimum two years' hands-on experience in monthly management accounts and the month-end close.
• Experience preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Experience in a high-volume, multi-currency finance environment.
• Proficient in Excel with lookup formulas, SUMIFS and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of producing accurate, well-supported work.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, dependable and committed to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts in line with the reporting timetable.
• Post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and other adjustments, with supporting documentation.
• Maintain balance-sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items.
• Complete key month-end processes, including sales revenue recognition and voucher reconciliations.
• Review monthly P&L and balance-sheet movements, explaining significant variances.
• Oversee sales ledger activities: invoicing, receipts, queries and overdue balances.
