Job Description

1. Assist the Group Management Accountant in preparing the Month End Management Accounts for the UK manufacturing base.
2. Manage monthly accruals and prepayments.
3. Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Conduct cash flow forecasting.
5. Prepare margin reports and review P&L statements.
6. Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights.
7. Manage the consolidation of subsidiary entities, as determined by the Group Management Accountant.
8. Prepare monthly reporting packs for subsidiary entities, including KPI analysis for management.
9. Provide variance analysis on key performance drivers.
10. Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
11. Collaborate with operational teams and subsidiary entities to review performance, understand cost structures, and identify margin optimization opportunities.
12. Assist in group cash flow forecasting, including data collation, forecast preparation, and analysis.
13. Help prepare tax returns, including VAT and other filings, ensuring timely submission of UK statutory returns.
14. Support audits and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
15. Assist with ad hoc projects, such as finance system implementation and process improvements.
16. May be working towards an accountancy degree.
