Role overview

The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for assisting with the end-to-end accounting and compliance processes associated with the CUK Accounting Team, ensuring that prime entries are accurately accounted for and controlled. This role will also provide ad-hoc technical accounting advice and project support as required, as well as supporting initiatives to streamline or automate processes to drive out inefficiencies and improve processes & performance.

This pivotal role will involve:

  1. Accountability for assigned month-end accounting processes, including journal and balance sheet reconciliation preparation and scrutiny.
  2. Ensuring accurate financial information is prepared to the required deadlines with due care and attention.
  3. Providing insights into the drivers of accounting performance to enable Finance Business Partner teams and internal business customers to understand and control their areas of accountability.
  4. Serving as a subject matter expert on cross-functional projects to enable the improvement, development, successful implementation, and business-as-usual (BAU) delivery of changes.

With professional study opportunities available after probation, this role is ideal for candidates looking to begin or advance their studies towards becoming a fully qualified accountant.

This role is positioned at CUK10 level within our organization and is available on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
